What is the suitcase dollhouse made of, and is it sturdy?
My suitcase dollhouses are crafted from sturdy cardboard, ensuring durability for years of play. Each dollhouse is built with care to withstand active play while keeping all the miniature furniture safe inside.
Can all the furniture be stored inside the suitcase when closed?
Yes! My suitcase dollhouses are designed for convenience — all the furniture and accessories included can be neatly stored inside when closed. Perfect for travel or keeping everything neatly organised.
Does the suitcase dollhouse include everything shown in the pictures?
Yes, your suitcase dollhouse includes all the furniture and accessories shown in the product photos, unless otherwise stated in the listing. Please note: the little mice and dolls shown in the photos are not included — each suitcase dollhouse is designed as a complete home, ready for your favourite small figures to move in!
What is permanently fixed in the suitcase dollhouse?
The main structure (walls) and some larger furniture pieces (such as the kitchen and built-in shelves) are permanently fixed to ensure stability during play. Smaller accessories and decorative items can be moved and rearranged freely.
Is the suitcase dollhouse suitable for travel?
Yes! My suitcase dollhouses are lightweight and portable — all furniture fits securely inside when closed, making them an ideal companion for imaginative play on the go.
Does the miniature furniture fit IKEA Flisat, Pottery Barn Kids or other wooden dollhouses?
Yes! All my miniature furniture and accessories are made in 1:12 scale, so they fit beautifully into the IKEA Flisat dollhouse, Pottery Barn Kids dollhouses and most other wooden dollhouses — as well as Maileg houses and, of course, my suitcase dollhouses.
Can I add a name to my suitcase dollhouse?
Yes! Simply choose the “With Name” option on the product page and type the name you’d like. There is no strict character limit — I adjust the size of the lettering so the name fits nicely. A personalised suitcase makes a very special gift and a little keepsake for years to come.
When should I order for Christmas?
As every piece is handmade, I recommend ordering early:
- Suitcase dollhouses: order by 30 November for delivery before Christmas within the EU.
- Miniature furniture & accessories: order by 10 December for delivery within the EU.
For deliveries outside the EU, please order a little earlier or choose DHL Express at checkout. If you’re unsure, just contact me and I’ll gladly check your date.
Shipping & Delivery
All items are handmade in my studio in Slovenia (European Union) and every parcel is shipped with tracking. At checkout you can choose between:
- Standard shipping – reliable, tracked and affordable delivery.
- Fast delivery with DHL Express – for when you’d like your parcel to arrive sooner.
The shipping options, prices and estimated delivery time for your country are always shown at checkout.

With DHL Express, your parcel usually arrives considerably faster than with standard shipping.
Customs for countries outside the EU (except the USA): customs duties and import VAT are not included in the price and may be charged by your country’s customs authority upon arrival. These fees are the buyer’s responsibility. As rates and thresholds differ from country to country, please check the VAT and customs rates for your country before ordering. I always declare the correct value of all items and am unable to mark packages as gifts or undervalue them.
Processing Time
- In-stock items: Dispatched within 1–3 business days.
- Made-to-order / Custom items: Handmade to order — please allow 5–8 business days for production before shipping. Shipping time depends on your destination.
Customers in the USA 🇺🇸 – duties & taxes included
For orders to the USA, all customs duties and import fees are already included in the price you pay at checkout — with both shipping options. There is nothing extra to pay on delivery; your parcel is cleared by customs and delivered straight to your door.
- Standard shipping: usually 10–18 business days after dispatch.
- DHL Express: usually 4–8 business days after dispatch.
Worldwide Shipping
I ship to customers all over the world. If you’re unsure whether I ship to your country, feel free to contact me.
What happens if my package arrives damaged?
Every parcel is packed with great care, but transport damage can occasionally happen. If your order arrives damaged:
- Please take photos of the item and the outer packaging right after delivery.
- Contact me within 48 hours of delivery at info@littlehousesbyarteva.com with the photos and your order number.
I look at every case individually. Depending on the damage, I offer a partial or full refund.
If something breaks later, after the item has been in use, I can’t know how it was handled, so I also decide case by case – just write to me and we’ll find a fair solution together.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
